The Learning Support Team considers the type and level of support students with disabilities and learning difficulties need to address their curriculum, communication, social skills, personal care, safety and mobility needs. The team identifies and brings together key personel within the school community who are most suitable to be involved in the delivery of the student's learning program.
The LST may consider whether students need accommodations or adjustments in the classroom or what management strategies need to be put in place. It may also make recommendations and referrals for services such as
Designated STLA
Counsellor assessment or consultation
Regional itinerant support services
Health assessments such as speech, vision or hearing
